Main Award Śląska Rzecz 2023 / project & design Wojciech Kłapcia
"Śląska Rzecz" is the only regional design competition in Poland which appreciates innovation and high design quality of products. It is a remarkable undertaking, focusing on unique designs and functional solutions from the region of the Silesian and Opolskie Voivodeships. Its purpose is to recognize and promote local initiatives that bring something new and inspiring to the design field. The Radical 16H sleeping bag received this year's main award in the product category.
This is how the Jury of the 18th edition of the "Śląska Rzecz" competition justified their decision:
"Radical H16 is a significantly and consistently improved product. In addition to all the improvements, cooperation with many communities, primarily potential users, as well as continuous improvement at the design stage, deserve special mention and award. The product is intended for use in the most extreme conditions, which is ensured, among other things, by its thermal insulating properties, the solution to the problem of vapor freezing, the guarantee of better facial protection or lighter weight.".
The Radical H16 sleeping bag is a result of many tests and research by our team. We created it for use in the most demanding conditions, such as Himalayan or polar expeditions. Thanks to the highest quality Polish white geese down and our innovative technology, the sleeping bag provides unparalleled thermal insulation and protection even at temperatures as low as -73 degrees Celsius. Among all the PAJAK sleeping bag collections, the Radical line is distinguished by the greatest technological advancement. Thanks to its unique construction, filling with the highest quality down of Polish white geese with an expansion rate of 900 cuin, and covering made of GELANOTS Ultralight Rip-Stop fabric.
The design used to produce these warmest sleeping bags was created during research in independent laboratories and using thermal imaging photography. We are the first company in the world to use such improved technology, creating a fully three-dimensional sleeping bag structure!
