Plastic

management

The essence of Pajak company's operation is the connection between humans and nature. Therefore, working with care for natural heritage and broadly understood environmental protection is crucial in our mission. One of the biggest problems, noticeable to every outdoor enthusiast, is the ubiquitous presence of plastic. Finding a quick alternative to plastic usage in everyday life is not easy. Manufacturers struggle to develop comprehensive solutions that provide all the functionalities of traditional plastic packaging and switch to fully ecological materials on a mass scale.

We believe that the most important thing is to durably and consistently change habits to reduce waste generation. In our company, we have diligently tackled this task and reviewed all processes to minimize the use of plastic in them.

  • You will receive our products packaged in environmentally friendly cardboard boxes, and sleeping bags in fabric bags that serve as storage at the same time.

  • All product information is placed on paper tags, printed on recycled paper using eco-friendly dyes.

  • For shipments, we use cardboard boxes that are delivered to us with raw materials.

  • We secure shipments with paper tape, not plastic tape.

  • We minimize printing documents to a minimum; the vast majority of them are in the form of e-documents.

  • When we need to print something, we do it on environmentally friendly paper (unbleached chlorine-free), with the oldest and most well-known Blue Angel certification in the world.

  • We utilize leftover materials from the production of sleeping bags and backpacks to manufacture our own promotional products.

  • Even our pens are made from recycled materials :-) The Round Stic ecolutions pen is made from 74% recycled plastic.

  • We use fully compostable paper bands for labeling.

As a member of EOCA, an organization collecting funds within the European outdoor industry for the health and well-being of the planet, we participated in the "Plastic Free: Mountain to Sea" campaign. In 2019 and 2020, projects funded by these resources were able to finance initiatives aimed at cleaning up plastic waste from the coasts, rivers, mountains, and lakes across Europe. Over the two years of the "Plastic Free: Mountain to Sea" campaign, a total of 4,183 km of environmentally valuable areas were cleaned up.
